As a Senior Business Development Manager - Hydrogen you will be responsible for identifying, promoting, developing, negotiating and closing transactions in the Hydrogen value chain, especially long-term sourcing contracts of H2 and derivatives. You will lead and develop deals from origination to commercial start, partnering effectively with other SEFE Commercial, Sales and Central Functions.

You will lead and develop deals from origination to commercial start, partnering effectively with other SEFE Commercial, Sales and Central Functions.

What you will do

The Senior Business Development Manager will establish and drive external commercial negotiations, including identifying opportunities, risks, potential mitigants and requirements including required schedules, involvement and resourcing. Building and managing commercial relationships with potential partners you will also;

  • Build, share and develop expertise in hydrogen- and H2 derivates within the function and wider organization
  • Report about project progress; supported by other members team in the preparation of decision-making papers and presentations
  • Provide guidance and support to the professional development of junior team members within the H2A function

 

What you will bring

With your proven international energy commercial experience, having found and closed an array of complex in mid-stream transactions along the value-chain. You will have;

• Proven experience successfully realizing commercial transactions in Europe associated with the energy transition, ideally relating to hydrogen and/or its prospective “vectors”
• Expert level of subject matter expertise of the opportunities, risks and mitigants from transactions associated with the transitioning energy systems to clean sources in Europe
• Experience operating in key roles in a new business unit within an established international organization
• Effective communication skills and the ability to present complex issues concisely and relevant target groups, including senior management
• Experience and readiness to work in an international environment, including regular business travel
• Highly effective English communication skills. Proficiency in other languages, especially German would be an advantage
