To support our objective of driving the green energy transition we are adding an additional Energy Transition Originator role to our London based origination team to identify, develop and execute origination and trading opportunities focusing on both Green Gas Certificates and biomethane.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will actively seek green gas origination opportunities through your proactive engagement with generators, suppliers, investors, developers, and other relevant counterparties, turning opportunity into sustainable business.
To achieve this you will
- Develop biomethane analysis, both quantitative and regulatory
- Ensure transactions meet relevant policies and standards, provide clear and effective commercial expertise to contract drafting and review and promote effective integration of these transactions into the business
- Develop relationships with green gas certificate brokers, counterparties and end-consumers and pro-actively price requests
- Develop a cross-border biomethane business
- Collaborate with other members of the Energy Transition team, the environmental team and flow sales team to create new trade flow and trade opportunities
- Build strategic relationships with core internal business partners
- Proactively participate in client meetings and conferences
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Proven experience within energy markets (green gas and biomethane – desirable)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Pro-active approach to building strategic relationships and finding market opportunities
- Ability to explain complex technical subjects to audiences of different skills and experience
- Consistent delivery of revenue & targets
- Fluency in English combined with fluency in another European language (desirable)
