As an Energy Transition Originator you will be responsible for Identifying, developing and executing origination opportunities in the UK focussing on PPA’s, new & traditional power flexibility and green certificates.
What you will do
As an Energy Transition Originator you will be responsible for origination opportunities in the UK with generators, suppliers, investors, developers and other relevant counterparties. You will participate in Energy Transition Transaction RFP’s, ensuring transactions meet relevant policies and standards. You will also provide clear and effective commercial expertise to contract drafting and review as well as promote effective integration of these transactions into the business. In addition you will;
- Build out client network in the UK Energy Transition space with a focus on electricity (power generators, battery storage, electrolysers, etc.)
- Originate and close innovative structures (e.g. Renewables PPA, battery, green certificate) in UK;
- Develop new origination ideas based on market developments and client interactions
- Build strategic relationships with core internal business partners for example Trading desk, optimisation, analytics, risk, IT, etc.
- Assist in the effective integration of Energy Transition transactions within the organization
What you will bring
Your previous experience in energy, will help you succeed in this role. You will also have relevant sales/client facing experience preferably within the UK renewable power sector. To be successful in this role you will also have:
- Experience in UK power markets
- Experience in UK Energy Transition
- Adaptability to fast changing environment
- Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
