We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team and support the management and development of our cloud infrastructure.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO

The key accountabilities for this role include:

  • You will be responsible for all technical tasks regarding development and maintenance of cloud-based technical services
  • This includes design, consulting, and maintenance of technical cloud infrastructure to support application landscape / enterprise architecture
  • Support the management of the cloud infrastructure, with special attention to cloud/cyber security
  • Collaborate with Group IT counterparties to develop best-in-class cloud infrastructure in line with Group standards and policies
  • Support projects from a cloud architecture perspective, developing and implementing infrastructure and architecture standards
  • Plan, design, and size technical cloud-based services
  • Support change management from an infrastructure perspective, and support with cloud service installations, specification, testing and service transition
  • Monitor and recommend alternative technologies
  • Assess suitability of technologies and architectures and analyse technical system requirements
  • Understand non-functional requirements and consult on technical fulfilment options

 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent English spoken and written
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively
  • Solid experience working in IT operations with the ability to evaluate the impact of changes to systems and environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the IT architecture landscape and interaction of different applications
  • Significant knowledge in test management, change management, incident, and problem management
  • Expertise in Cloud integration possibilities and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Technical skills include:

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts, VPNs, VPCs, and routing
  • Security: Implementation of security best practices in cloud environments
  • Database Services: Experience with cloud-based databases such as RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Cloud SQL
  • Logging and Monitoring: Familiarity with tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Stackdriver
  • CI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Degree level qualification in Information Technologies or equivalent professional experience
