Welcome to our Early Careers Hub! Here we will share details on our graduate and internship programmes that give ambitious candidates the opportunity to fast-track their careers and learn from the talented team at SEFE.

Graduate scheme

Our graduate scheme allows you to explore our business and identify your talents to pursue what you’re passionate about. Following the successful completion of our graduate scheme, you may have the opportunity to step into a permanent role at SEFE.

During the 2-year scheme, you’ll work across one of our business areas so you can get to know different people, roles and responsibilities at SEFE. Along the way, you’ll have the support you need to fully embrace what it’s like working in a positive, collaborative and fully inclusive working environment.

Please note that you must have the right to work in the UK for the 2-year duration of whichever graduate scheme role you apply for.

SEFE graduate scheme roles

Our graduate scheme roles starting in September 2025 are available across SEFE in the following areas: Risk, Finance, Sales Operations, Business Operations, HR, Front Office and IT.

Risk

The Risk Graduate programme will provide in-depth knowledge across the breadth of SEFE’s Risk Management department, alongside introducing the candidate to the trading department. Rotating through five teams, you’ll gain experience in market, credit and operational risk, market conduct compliance and product control. You’ll also be responsible for part of your team’s reporting or controlling functions, gaining valuable experience and making connections across SEFE.

Finance

Working closely with our HR department, our Finance Graduate Scheme roles focus on supporting financial planning and analysis. Whether you’re preparing reports or analysing financial data, you’ll take a detail-oriented, strategic and outcome-focused approach to your role to ensure financial decisions at different levels of the business are well-informed and meet the operational goals.

Sales operations

The Sales Operations Graduate is responsible for analysing, interpreting, and presenting complex energy data to support business decisions, optimise energy operations, and ensure regulatory compliance. Involving data extraction and advanced analytics skills, you’ll often collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, extensive experience in data management, and a background in the energy sector or related fields.

Business operations

From our Power Operations team to our LNG Operations team, our Business Operations Graduate Scheme roles encompass the day-to-day operational activities of SEFE. You’ll develop analytical skills and trading strategies, allowing you to develop efficient tools and manage the automation of processes. Due to the nature of these roles, you may be required to cover weekends and bank holidays or be part of a rota.

HR

A graduate scheme role in our HR department involves making sure our people and culture are sustained here at SEFE. You will be expected to collect, analyse and interpret data to improve HR processes, inform decisions, and drive strategic initiatives. From developing and maintaining processes such as performance and payroll to helping the organisation optimise its business objectives, you’ll gain a range of vital skills.

Front office (LNG / Digital Trading / Gas, Power & Derivatives)

In a Front Office Graduate role, you’ll learn how to provide timely and accurate forecasts of the markets in which we operate to generate good and profitable trading decisions, exposing you to all parts of this process and getting a good background in fundamental analytics, industry knowledge and commercial exposure. We have several Front Office Graduate Scheme roles available across LNG, Digital Trading, and Gas, Power & Derivatives teams.

IT – Trading, Enterprise & Sales

Over the course of our IT Graduate programme, you’ll support various teams across our IT systems and applications. You’ll need excellent IT and analytical skills, along with a problem-solving attitude. From BA’s to developers and application support, our roles available in this department will allow you to use a range of analytical modelling techniques and liaise with various teams to ensure they fully understand the impact of incoming changes.
